If you do not receive a courtesy notice after three weeks, you must contact the Court by email at inyo.traffic@inyocourt.ca.gov, or by phone (760) 872-3038.

The Courtesy Notice will advise you of the fine amount, payment options, and traffic school eligibility.

Contact Inyo Traffic Court by email - To obtain information about your court case related to a traffic or non-traffic infraction citation, please send an email to the Superior Court of California, County of Inyo TRAFFIC email address: inyo.traffic@inyocourt.ca.gov

Include your full name, address, telephone number, date of citation, citation number, and court case number, if available, in all email requests for information.The Inyo Traffic Court does not accept documents for filing by email, i.e. traffic school certificates, proofs of correction, motions to continue court trial, etc. Generally, the Inyo Traffic Court will answer traffic ticket related emails within 1 business day.

How to get an extension? - At Inyo Traffic Court you may request an extension by phone, e-mail, in person or by mail BEFORE the due date shown on your courtesy notice or citation. If you need an extension beyond the time period the clerks are authorized to grant, you must contact the Court in order to appear before the Judge to request additional time. To request an extension in person you must come to the office during business hours before the due date shown on your courtesy notice or citation. To request an extension by phone, e-mail or mail, you must do so before the due date shown on your courtesy notice or citation.

How to pay the Fine? - At Inyo Traffic Court you can pay the fines by mail, online at Official Payments or in person. To ensure your case is credited correctly, write the docket number on your check. Checks or Money Orders should be made payable to: The Superior Court of California, County of Inyo. The clerk may grant a 30 day extension to complete corrections on your citation or to allow you time to save the money to pay your fine. Extensions will not be granted to anyone who has been ordered to attend traffic school or has Court ordered fines.

If your matter has been set for a Court Trial and you wish to request a continuance of the court date, you must do so in writing by mail, and your request must be received by the Court at least 10 days prior to the court date.
